Apple Tart

122/365 French Apple Tart

I love to cook, but hate to bake, but this is hands-down the easiest thing I have ever made, and it tasted fantastic.

French Apple Tart

1 pie crust (use whatever recipe works for you. I cheated and used store bought)
5-6 apples (I used Granny Smith)
1 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbs sugar
2 Tbs unsalted butter

Preheat oven to 400. Prepare pie crust and press into 8 or 9 inch tart pan.
Peel and core apples, slice into 1/4" thick slices. Chop one of the apples into smaller pieces and spread over the bottom of the pie crust. Sprinkle with about 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Arrange the remaining apple slices neatly in the pie crust. The apples should be piled a little bit higher than the pan - they'll cook down. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon and all of the sugar over the top of the apples. Cut the butter into small pieces and dot the apples with it. Bake for 60-75 minutes.
